Term 2 Maths Measurement!

The focus for this term is measurement! We have measured the  length and width of objects to find their areas and perimeters.  We have converted units of measure eg how many millimeters in 2 centimeters? Next we are moving on to measuring angles. 

How can you reinforce this learning at home? Measure something, anything, everything! Bake a cake. Look at the speedo on your car. Talk about the distance between here and Christchurch/Hanmer/London...

And then share your learning on your blog. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Hanmer Camp 2019

What  a FABULOUS camp! We mountain biked, we climbed trees, we got lost in a forest, we visited a cemetery and sculpture park, we had a quiz and concert, we climbed Conical Hill and we visited a lolly shop. And we soaked in hot pools and squealed down the Superbowl! The weather was fantastic. The scenery was stunning. Above all this awesomeness though was the fabulous teamwork. What a great, friendly, supportive, kind bunch of humans! Well done team!

Book Week

Book Week 2019

We had a lovely buddy reading session with Mamaku. How fun to share some wonderful stories with some good friends! Thanks Ms Teasdale and Mamaku Hub.

We have listened to Andy Griffiths stories and decorated doors to reflect these stories.

Andy Wright, the story teller, visited on Wednesday and we had the big book character assembly on Wednesday. It's been a massive week!
